I have been informed that an account on Facebook has been opened in my name. I hereby emphatically clarify that this account has been opened without my permission. Similarly, there is no disclaimer thereon which gives the wrong impression that this account is being operated by me. Thus, all Facebook users are requested to take due cognizance of this fact. Any information regarding the perpetrators of this illegal act will be appreciated so that legal action may be taken against the individuals responsible for this.

This is for information of all concerned that I have been receiving correspondence from various places enquiring whether I have authorized any Ijarah contracts of certain financial institution in America, Australia and Canada. As evidence these companies have posted a 15 years old fatwa of mine on their websites. I would very explicitly like to declare the following in this regard:

There has been a message circulating on some mobile media stating that Hazrat Mufti Sahab is extremely ill, which has caused much concern to many people. We would like to clarify that although Hazrat wala’s health had not been satisfactory in recent weeks, yet now, Alhamdulillah Hazrat is much better and he has also begun undertaking his normal tasks.
This is not withstanding the fact that there is some slight recovery remaining for which Hazrat requests duas and prayers.

29 Oct, 2007 We have received a large number of queries about the status of Guidance Financial Group - a non-riba based lending institution located in Falls Church, Virginia. Readers wanted to know whether Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani has actually approved their scheme. Here is the statement issued by Mufti Muhmmad Taqi Usmani. After a great deal of discussions and amendments brought in the scheme of Guidance that lasted for about two years we have finally issued the Fatwa in favor of the lawfulness of the Scheme. We have also mentioned in the Fatwa the basic principles underlying the Scheme. I have heard that some people have objections to the Scheme. If so, they should mention the specific clauses |
